A little feel good for your soul

I spent some time flipping thru the new and new-to-me site I want to be her. If you haven’t heard about it here’s a link to the back story.


That familiar pang of ever so slight envy started to creep up as I was smiling at some of the profiles, taking style notes and thinking about the premise of the site (wanting to be THAT girl. Duh!). And then it hit me: Aren’t we all THAT GIRL by someone’s definition?

That girl with the never-ending legs.
That girl with the naturally toned arms.
That girl that always knows just what to say.
That girl with the bright smile.
That girl with the killer shoes.
That girl that makes it look easy.
That girl who’s blog writing makes you feel like you’re her BFF and she’s having an intimate conversation with you.
That girl that/with/who________fill in the blank with the most common compliment you receive.

See? You’re instantly that girl! So instead of envy I turned those feelings into pride and a little bit of gloating as I think about how I am that girl. And I’m in darn good company too. So there. . . . A little feel good for your soul on hump day.
